In the year 1960 trustees of Shri Kasturba Stri Vikas Gruh, Jamnagar started this institution with the aim of providing education to womens specially those who are deprived of their basic rights with an aim to make them self-reliant, so that they can can also live a life with self respect and dignity. Since last many years Shri Kastruba Stri vikas Gruh is working toward social uplifments of womans and children by running several charitable institutions and also running schools, library and colleges.

Today, after about 4 decades, our institution has successfully worked toward achieveing the prime objective of quality eduction to womens. Currently about INTEK 50 womens are trained in each batch for course known as "Primary Teacher Course" (P.T.C) which is designed to make students "Good Teacher" for teaching in primary schools. Equal emphasis is given to cultural and physical developments of this "future teachers".
